Day:1 Mdina
Upon arrival, this city welcomes you with fortified walls and a bridge leading to a gated entrance, famously known as Mdina gate. Mdina is best for people who love to have an ancient touch. The rich ancient architecture is proof that Malta is kind enough to preserve the cultural heritage of these buildings and also the streets are stone-paved. Having a walk in this beautiful city will surely take you back in time. Wondering in open squares full of stunning medieval and Baroque architecture, you can imagine where Hollywood movies get the ideas of preparing their sets. The city is free for everyone but just like any other place museums, cathedrals and exhibitions do require entry fees.

Day:2 Valletta
Valletta is also known as the fortress city. It is also Malta’s capital and under the protection of UNESCO world heritage. After spending your first day in Mdina take a bus to Valletta and be prepared to get amazed by this beautiful city. Upon entrance, the most beautiful Triton Fountain will be waiting for you. This city is surrounded by lovely harbors and an evening walk would be the most relaxing thing to do here.
You can also visit coffee shops, restaurants for some delicious cuisines and can taste a variety of international as well as local dishes. Valletta is a well-structured city and you can easily cover it up in a day on foot. The best things to do are to enjoy the alleyway walks and visiting local shops. To get some amazing views of the harbor, visit the Siege Bell War Monument as it provides a top and wide view of the harbor and endure some breathtaking sunsets here.

Day:3 Blue Grotto
Moving out of the city, explore the caves and the clear and pure blue water at the Blue Grotto. It’s an hour’s drive from Valletta. Go for diving or swimming as the water is extremely clear and bright due to the vivid rays of light. The blue Grotto has always been the hottest tourist spot. Blue Grotto is also famous for boat rides in the caves, rock jumping, and posses great scenic views. A place called Panorama, just like the name suggests, it’s a mountain top that lets you enjoy a full view of the southern coast and be careful of those huge drops. Not many people know about panorama which makes it easy for you to enjoy it.

Day:4 Coral Lagoon
Book a canoe boat for two to three hours and get ready for some upper body exercise. But as soon as you make it to this spot all your hard work will pay off. The coral Lagoon is another hidden gem that not many people know about, some people have seen pictures of it. Here you can experience open caves. The silence and calmness are what this place is about. If you visit this on a sunny day then those sun lights create a perfect view here. You can also do snorkeling and rock jumping. If it’s not that easy, you can also climb the mountain for some stunning views.

Day:5 Gozo Island
Gozo island was famous for Azure Window one of the beautiful places to see in Malta, but unfortunately, it collapsed into the sea in 2017. This place still has some majestic sights and feel free to check them on your way to have a peaceful evening. This place offers Historic Megalithic Temples and ruins, salt pans, beaches, and diving sites like Blue Holes. It’s a perfect couple spot for some alone time and worth staying a night here or at least a one-day trip. Take a stroll to the main city of Gozo, Victoria, to experience a cultural and authentic traditional Maltese lifestyle.

Day:6 Popeye Village
As kids, we remember the famous Popeye cartoons. Well, this Anchor Bay is the place that was used as a film set for that famous show in the 1980s. The set is still there which gives you a flashback of your childhood’s favorite show. The place is basically designed for kids along with a water park. If you’re visiting with your family or liked the show then this place could be interesting for you otherwise it may seem boring. A secret spot close to this village will take you to the top of the cliff and you can enjoy some peaceful time watching the sunset along with the view of Anchor Bay.

Day:7 Red Tower And Marsaxlokk Village
You have noticed a large red tower from Popeye village, that is the famous red tower. You need to do a little bit of hiking to get here. The next stop is Marsaxlokk in southern Malta. Do a swim in the harbor and get ready for some of the best seafood restaurants here. On Sunday streets are packed because of the famous fish market, buy some fresh fish and cook it by yourself. That fresh taste is something else. After that visit st peter’s pool. The views are an amazing place for cliff diving if you are looking for some adrenaline rush. On your route, you can also pre-book a tour to Ħal-Saflieni Hypogeum, because they only allow a finite number of visitors per day.
